The Forest Division is committed to the conservation, protection, and sustainable management of forest resources, biodiversity, and wildlife habitats within its jurisdiction. The Division plays a vital role in maintaining ecological balance, enhancing green cover, promoting environmental awareness, and implementing various forestry and conservation programmes in collaboration with local communities and stakeholders.The Division undertakes activities related to afforestation, forest protection, wildlife conservation, eco-restoration, community participation, wetland management, and climate resilience initiatives, ensuring the long-term sustainability of natural resources for future generations.

Administrative Setup

The Division functions under the administrative control of the State Forest Department and is headed by the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO). The administrative setup ensures efficient implementation of forestry programmes and effective management of field operations.
